When you’re visiting Oahu, one key recommendation is to: rent a car!

Oahu’s public transportation is ok, but this island is large and there is a lot to explore so you will definitely want to the freedom and convenience of your own wheels. Parking is generally easy and free/cheap everywhere. I booked through this website and got an amazing deal ($300 for 10 days including the under 25 driver premium) so it’s pretty cost effective too!

1. Northshore Pipeline Beach

Oahu’s beautiful beach where the pros surf. All of the big surf companies have their houses along this beach so the real estate is fun to check out and there’s some very… intriguing people watching 😉

7. Kona Brewing Company

I got the Ahi Salad and it was delicious! My favorite beer at Kona Brewing Company (I, Koko Marina Shopping Center, 7192 Kalanianaole Hwy, Honolulu, HI 96825) was the Koko Brown, carrying hints of chocolate and coconut.

8. Diamond Head Cove Health Bar

Most of the ingredients from this health bar (3045 Monsarrat Ave #5, Honolulu, HI 96815) are sourced directly from the Hawaiian islands. I’ve never tasted honey as fresh as the Maui sourced variety they offer!

9. Island Brewing for coffee

Great little coffee shop (377 Keahole St, Honolulu, HI 96825) with a huge menu of beverages and meals overlooking Mauna Lua Bay.
