Bonnington Café is a delicious vegetarian and vegan café where no item is priced above £8 (USD$10) and starters and desserts are a mere £3 (USD$4). This converted Victorian house has a homely interior of bare brick, painted walls, wonky tables and mismatched cutlery. You might want to start with broccoli soup and follow it up with aubergine and chickpea tagine with couscous or leek and mushroom pie with roasties. For dessert, you must try the poppy seed strudel or apple crumble! Menus change every day, and if bring your own wine and they’ll hire you a wine glass for fifty pence, or about sixty cents!

It’s a place known for its generous portions of food accompanied by flatbreads, salads and dips. Meze plates start from £4.50 (USD$5.50), Turkish pizza £8.50 (USD$10.50) and charcoal grill £8 (USD$10). With such a large range of fish dishes available, you just made need a doggy bag!

6. Heron Pub & Restaurant

Located in the shabby cramped basement of the Heron pub, Heron Pub & Restaurant serves excellent quality authentic Thai food for under £10 (USD$12.50), accompanied by a background of Thai pop music!
