Head for the Jungle
The Sirinat National Park is one of the two parks in Phuket. It’s a National Park and it stretches for over 8 miles. It’s on the north-western edge and the mangrove forests really are a sight to be seen. The forest eventually ends and when it does, you will soon see that the beaches are white, luxurious and sandy. The area can be a little bit touristy at times, but that being said, you are very close to the airport and this makes it very easy to access. If you want to have a more private or local experience then make sure that you travel to the Khao Phra Thaeo Park. This is on the other side of the island and it is one of the last virgin rainforests in the area. It’s an unspoiled habitat for wildlife such as monkeys, barking deer and even langurs. There’s even a research facility that helps gibbons who have been rehabilitated. Not a lot of tourists know about this park but if you are interested in hiking then you’ll be glad to know that it has a real jungle setting.
Pick a Beach
Layan Beach is at the end of the Bang Tao beach. This is on the west of the island and it is a super popular spot to say the least. This is for a very good reason. It actually backs up onto the thick forest and it is able to offer plenty of shade to the sand. This means that it’s the ideal place for you to kick back and relax, not to mention that you can easily take some great photographs here too.
Go for a Massage
Do you want to have some time for yourself? Then why not think about going for a traditional Thai massage? When you do, you will soon find that you can easily have the best time and you may even find that you forget about some of your worries too. A lot of the staff who work in reputable establishments are actually trained at the International Spa Academy. This is just down the road and they are also able to help you with muscular tension. There really is no better way for you to spend some time off and you would be surprised at how easy it is for you to really make the most out of your trip.
Skip the Party
Some locations are ideal for those who like to party. Sure, you can have a great time if you choose to attend some of them but at the end of the day, the areas usually have way more to offer than this, so you need to make sure that you explore the other things that there are to do. When you are able to do this, you will soon find that you are able to have way more fun and that you are also able to relax more as a result. You never know, you might end up saving money as a result, so do keep that in mind.
