Corporate and leisure travelers rejoice!

There’s a spanking new serviced residence with the perfect location in Bangkok that’s both stylish and affordable!

Metropole Bangkok is part of The Crest Collection, the new luxury label of The Ascott Limited., which delivers award-winning serviced residences. The Crest Collection launched in April, 2016 and Metropole opened just a few months after in August last year.

As Ascott’s General Manager for Thailand, Jean Keijdener, elaborates:

Metropole is the only property in Asia and one of four in the world handpicked to be part of the prestigious Ascott’s Crest Collection. Metropole brings a touch of European charm to the heart of Bangkok. The exclusive serviced residence features a colonial architecture and an infusion of neoclassicism design with Thai elegance.

Each property in The Crest Collection has a distinctive character which epitomizes European elegance and grandeur. So does Metropole; the designers revived an old establishment to become alive again. With its unique and fantastic design of the building, Metropole, The Crest Collection is both attractive to passersby and current residents.

The design concept of the property is especially fetching. It’s reminiscent of the Victorian era, at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution and modernization. From the moment guests enter the gates outside to the moment they walk down the halls to their rooms, there’s an air of sophistication and luxury that’s still affordable and accessible to all.

The interior design of Metropole feels sumptuous but not over-the-top. Conjuring an Art Nouveau feel, the building is pleasantly decorated throughout with dark brown and gold tones. Though the décor feels European, the halls feature photos of Bangkok back in the day as it was beginning to modernize. Lovely touches include gilded iron gates along the staircases and the classy lobby bar that’s beautifully lit and designed. One can’t help but feel nostalgia for the charm and luxury of Victorian Europe, which is exactly what The Crest Collection strives to create for guests.

There are 4 types of studios and a one-bedroom premier suite. The Studio, Studio Deluxe and Studio Executive are all 290 square feet and can accommodate two people. The Studio Premier is slightly bigger with 431 square feet and comes with a much more spacious living and dining area. And the One-Bedroom Premier Suite can accommodate 3 people and is ideal for long-term guests. Each room is meant to function like an apartment and comes with a washing machine and dryer. Each room also has a kitchenette with coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave, toaster and stove.

Metropole is perfect for both corporate and leisure travelers looking to actively explore or just stay in and have a place to relax. Guests don’t have to leave the residence if they don’t want to as the hotel features a swimming pool, fitness center, Jacuzzi, in-house restaurant, spa and late night dining.

CHOW Café & Bar is a classy yet casual dining spot that serves a variety of Western, Thai and Asian fusion dishes. This is where breakfast is served and the restaurant is open late until 2 am—the perfect time to order fried noodles when you have late-night munchies. CHOW regularly exhibits impressive artworks by local artists in Bangkok which anyone can purchase through Metropole.

There’s also a lovely spa, Prim, located on-site where guests can enjoy Thai massages, facials and other treatments. Prim is clean, pretty and relaxing with an attentive staff and nice aesthetic and service touches.

For those itching to explore the surrounding area, Metropole is ideally located in Thonglor, the trendiest neighborhood in Bangkok at the moment. Thonglor is where young locals congregate to eat and drink at many of the hip, new bars and eateries popping up in the area. Not only are there super cool bars, but Thonglor boasts a great selection of clubs of all styles, sizes and price ranges. Iron Fairies and Desi Beats are just two examples of super unique, cool clubs that have everyone in Bangkok flocking to Thonglor.

As Metropole is also located on the exciting Sukhumvit Road, it’s easy to access other areas of the city. Guests can walk or drive down Sukhumvit to explore the many other entertainment offerings around Thonglor. Otherwise the BTS Sky Train is a 10 minute drive away and it’s very easy to catch a taxi or Uber at any time of the day on the main road.

With eye-catching design, exciting location and affordable long-term and short-term stays, Metropole is the perfect place to stay for corporate and leisure travelers looking for a city break.

After a long day of working and exploring the city, we would like to welcome our guests back to Metropole with a homely and comfort atmosphere. With its uniquely and thoughtfully design apartments and on-site facilities, our guests would have a memorable stay experience at Metropole.
