Monaco’s motorsport legends are far too numerous to list in their entirety, but some of the most famous include Lewis Hamilton, Jensen Button and Daniel Ricciardo.

For all sorts of reasons—apart from the obvious fiscal advantages, many fall in love with the principality after visiting to compete in the Monaco Grand Prix. For a lucky few, including British racing driver David Coulthard, Monaco offers particularly happy memories of winning the famous race. Germany’s Nico Rosberg spent much of his childhood in Monaco, and then there is Charles Leclerc. Leclerc is Monégasque, and must consider himself very lucky to be a Monaco national – growing up in the perfect place to pursue his passion!
AS Monaco is one of the most prestigious football clubs in the world and boasts an alternating line-up of global soccer stars. Players such as George Weah, Jurgen Klinsmann, Glenn Hoddle and, of course, new coach Thierry Henry have all called Monaco home during their respective stints with the club.
