Luckily the weather is hot and humid all year round.
Bali is a sweet, sweet paradise that you definitely want to be prepared for in order to enjoy that dream vacation! Luckily the weather is hot and humid all year round so it’s easy to pack clothes as far as the weather is concerned. Here are all the things you need in that suitcase to stay fly and sexy during your tropical Bali vacay!
Bikinis on bikinis: pack ALL the bikinis you own if you know you’ll be posted on the beach the entire time. One is definitely not going to cut it considering all of the beautiful beaches that you’ll have to lounge on!
Loose, comfy t-shirts and tank tops (men and women): Keep it loose and breezy so that your clothes don’t stick because of the humidity.
Cute crop tops, bandeaus & going out outfits (women): You’ll be faced with plenty of chances to go out and party at the many beach clubs and bars in every part of the island. Definitely be prepared with some fierce nighttime looks.
Short-sleeved button-up shirts (men): Guys are no exception when it comes to going out and looking good. Have at least one “going out” shirt on you, preferably with bright colors and fun prints.
Shorts (men and women): You’ll most likely be living in shorts because jeans can feel a bit restricting and stiff in the heat.
Long pants (men and women): That being said, there are times that you may want long pants to cover your legs if you’ll be spending long periods in the sun: for example, when you’re road tripping on a motorbike in the sun for hours or when you’re sleeping with mosquitoes. Whether it’s a worn pair of jeans or light sweatpants, it’s nice to have the option to cover your legs when needed.
Activewear (men and women): Whether you’re a yogi or not, there are plenty of wellness and fitness activities to partake in.
Comfortable covered shoes (men and women): In Bali, you’ll be walking on dirt roads, sand, rainforests, and rice paddies the majority of the time. Thus, you want shoes that are comfortable, preferably a little worn, and sure not to bother you if they get dirty.
Flip flops or sandals (men and women): For days when you’ll only be chilling on the beach.
Light jacket or flannel (men and women): For the rare times it gets a little chilly, it’s good to have a light jacket or flannel on you to cover your arms.
Sunglasses (men and women): Even if you don’t need them on the beach, chances are you’ll need them whenever you ride a motorbike and such.
Mosquito Repellent: This is a MUST-HAVE on this island! Nobody tells you that after the sun goes down in paradise, it’s a free-for-all for mosquitoes everywhere. Make sure you have something to put on your skin to repel them as much as possible.
Sunscreen: It gets real hot and bright in the sun out there. The heat can be sweltering, so be sure you’re protected at all times outside.
During rainy season (October to April)
Rain jacket or poncho: You’ll definitely run into some rain if you go anytime between October to April. Be sure to bring a light rain jacket or windbreaker, or even a poncho, to cover you from the rain when you’re on the go.
