Santorini is one of Greece’s many beautiful islands.

Most people have heard of it already, but if you haven’t been, you are missing out. Santorini is one of Greece’s many beautiful islands, located in the southern part of the Cyclades island chain in the Aegean Sea. It is actually part of an archipelago (which has the same name,) all of which are the remnants of a volcanic caldera.
Among the islands, there is a large central lagoon, which connects to the sea at two separate locations. Besides the wonderful Greek food, the island is best known for its picturesque architecture, blue and white houses/churches and its dramatic views.
This includes one of the most stunning sunsets, which can be viewed from the town Oia. It also has many wonderful beaches, such as Perissa and Kamari. You must take the donkey rides through the village while you are on the island! It is an unforgettable experience and makes for some great memories.
To get to Santorini, take the ferryboats from Athens. The Greek islands are an incredible place to visit and Santorini is one of the most picturesque ones.
