Don’t Miss Designmuseum Danmark’s “Modern Danish” Exhibition

That chair tunnel sure is something else.

While in Copenhagen, plan an hour or two at the ever-so-cool “Danish Modern” exhibition inside Designmuseum Danmark.

The collection comprises a brilliant installation, amplifying the development of 100 chairs that have influenced modern life. It’s hard not to be stunned by the so-called “chair tunnel” that displays an array of chairs, from floor to ceiling. Each depicts the evolution of Danish furniture, incorporating international styles, illustrating the Golden Age of Danish design from 1920 to 1970s, exploring the history of chairs as an artistic object.

Also at the Designmuseum Danmark is The Power of Print exhibition that continues until January 4th. It features Danish fabric printers of our time while uncovering Danish craftsmanship and new textiles on a gigantic scale.

When it comes to fashion and design exhibitions, this Chair Tunnel was definitely worth all the rage.
