Food on vacation can make or break a trip. DON’T waste your time at a restaurant that serves you mediocre food. The Bahamas has a variety of great dining options for you on your trip, and Jetset Times has a great list of the best restaurants in the Bahamas.
Dune

This beachfront restaurant serves many types of food in Caribbean-inspired flavors with global flair: Bahamian, Asian, French and more. In addition to the divine cuisine, there is a beautiful Versailles-style garden that is sure to give you a more pleasant and glamorous experience. Dune is located in Nassau’s Four Seasons Hotel, so if you are in the area, you should definitely stop by.

Marcus at Baha Mar

Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House celebrates Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s passion for exploring flavors and discovering the freshest Bahamian ingredients, with a predominance of local seafood. Graycliff Restaurant

This will be a unique dining experience on your vacation. The staff will be dressed in white and the menu is Bahamian integrated with European influences. The meal will also include cigars and chocolate afterwards. Graycliff also offers a lovely set of wines. Since it was one of the very first five star restaurants in the Caribbean, you will understand why after your tasty visit.

Sip Sip is a beachfront lunchtime restaurant located on Harbour Island that delivers genuine Bahamian cuisine. Named after the Bahamian term for “gossip,” Sip Sip is a wonderful place for friends to go have a drink and enjoy some food. If you’re in town on a Sunday, try the boiled fish!
Athena Bar and Cafe

Despite its name, Athena Bar and Cafe does not only serve Mediterranean food, but Bahamian cuisine, such as conch and other local seafoods. It is a family-owned restaurant settled in Nassau, so popular that it is a stop in the Bites of Nassau Food Tour.

This restaurant is a part of the Rock House Resort on Harbour Island. Similar to Athena Bar and Cafe, it offers both Mediterranean and Bahamian cuisines. In addition to the classic island plates, the service is great. Some key dishes to try: stone crab, crab cakes and the grouper.

It occurs everyday except Monday, so make sure to plan around when it is open, as it is a meal you do not want to miss out on while vacationing in the Bahamas due to its native cooking.

Located in Nassau, this restaurant is decorated with Bahamian artwork covering its walls. The menu features items from all around the globe, yet there is a Bahamian twist. Although a bit pricey, the service and quality are worth it. Don’t miss the Caesar Salad, the Lobster Bisque, and the Banana Flambe dessert.
