Breathtaking Trails Around Europe For Adventure-Seekers

Spring is officially here and we cannot wait to go out in the nature and hit up some trails.

Here are my picks of favourite destinations to visit during spring time if you seek some adventures and hiking trails around Europe.

1. Plitvice Lakes, Croatia.

When I first came across the photos of the Plitvice Lakes, I couldn’t believe you could find such a place in Europe. It looked like a wild, virgin place somewhere in the South- American rain forests. No wonder it is the most popular tourist attraction in Croatia granted by UNESCO.

I highly recommend hiking here if you would like to run away from crowds of a big city and recharge in the untouched scenery of the Plitvice Lakes.

2. Prags, Italy.

It kept showing up on Instagram so I had to research this beautiful place! I figured out that the tiny wooden house surrounded by mountains is situated in South Tyrol, Prags.

I fell in love with the little old boathouse in crystal clean lake of Prags just by seeing pictures. Definitely want to explore the Italian part of Tyrol!

3. Goðafoss, Iceland.

If you are a dreamer just like me still believing in fairytales, Iceland is a must destination to visit. Why? First of all, the unbelievable view of Goðafoss waterfall, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland. The northern country has a unique view looking like we are on a different planet. The reason I mentioned fairytales was because Icelandic people actually believe in elves. So don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled , while hiking you might see something strange!

4. Hallstatt, Austria.

How could I skip Austria from my list if it is the first country that comes in my mind if someone says ‘hiking’.

My most favourite location in Austria is Hallstatt. The jewelry box-like town in the mountains overlooks the Hallstatt Lake with traditional Austrian wooden houses on each side, in the centre of the town, and mysterious mountains on the other side. If you go above the town to visit the Salt Mines, there will be a unique manmade view point hanging out from the mountain ensuring an unforgettable view of the surroundings.
