Along with Give & Surf, we came up with Fuel the Future campaign that raises funds to keep these boats running, which costs $30/day. For every candle that you purchase, proceeds goes directly to fund the boats.
It’s no secret that when Jetset Times went to Bocas del Toro, Panama during the winter of 2013, we fell deeply in love with a local organization Give and Surf. Its founder Neil Christiansen is tirelessly bringing education to indigenous children by building schools and creating amazing programs.
Not only did we fall in love with the adorable children on the island, I ended up personally sponsoring children to ensure they receive the proper education. After all, being a “jetsetter” is about thinking outside of ourselves, seeing the needs in the world and finding ways to facilitate. Needless to say, I’m extremely excited to launch the latest collaboration with Give and Surf: our Fuel the Future candle is definitely one that you won’t stop burning!
For the organization, the biggest expense is the fuel that operate the boats taking children to school every day. Along with Give & Surf, we came up with Fuel the Future campaign that raises funds to keep these boats running, which costs $30/day. For every candle that you purchase, proceeds goes directly to fund the boats.
This month, Give and Surf also launched their online shop with every item also available through Jetset Times Shop. Cool t-shirts, gorgeous jewelries made by local Panamanian women and even a hot sauce are things you can get and rep your pride for being a do-gooder! Below are some of my personal favorites, visit Jetset Times Shop or Give & Surf Shop for a full list of products.
