Eight photographers and one beautiful site. All trending the hashtag #MovingSkyewards, capturing the attention of over 1 million Instagrammers.
Back in March, Europcar sent eight incredible photographers each with major klout power on a road trip to Scotland’s magnificent Isle of Skye. In 3 days of striking scenery and brilliant landscape, the influential photographers captured their Scottish journeys over 650 miles.
Europcar’s campaign mission is to showcase the Isle of Skye as the ideal road trip destination, and how easy it is to indulge in the nature-bound getaway by car. A spokesperson said:
At the start of the campaign, we hoped that the images would capture people’s imagination on Instagram and inspire them to explore this part of Scotland for themselves. A key aspect of the campaign was to highlight Skye’s unrivalled scenery, and we could think of no better people to champion the Misty Isle than our group of Danish and Scottish Instagrammers.
Long been fans of each other’s works, photographers Hanni Gharib (222K followers), Steve Oates (124K followers) and James Wright (117K followers) are 3 of 8 photographers who hopped on board at the chance of working with one another to infuse their passion for both nature and photography.
Avid travelers know that Scotland boasts some of the world’s most beautiful sceneries and landscapes, including Isle of Skye. Although it’s only a 5-hour drive from Edinburgh, there’s no railway access to the the largest and most northerly large island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland.
We think this calls or a road trip, pronto!

Took a quick trip up to Glencoe today, five minutes after this photo we had hailstones, then more sun, then a huge snowstorm, a bit of rain, wind, and back to sun. Aye, Scotland. Also, our #movingskyewards trip seems to be on the Daily Mail website today which is a bit mad. Glad to see Scotland getting its fair recognition though 👍🏻
