Two areas on your radar should be: Casco Viejo, which has tons of local, up-and-coming hotspots, and Calle Uruguay in downtown that hubs the most happening venues. Get ready to dance the night away!
In Casco Viejo district, this is the trendiest hotspot in Panama City right now. Tantalo is a hotel, restaurant and a rooftop bar. It is fantastic! The mixologist knows his craft and serves up delicious cocktails. While you groove to the beat in both the restaurant and rooftop bar, you’ll gaze at gorgeous night sky of the old city. Meet cool crowds in this joint that comprise of both locals and internationals!
Dance all night at Herbana Panama! Also in the Casco Viejo district, Herbana Panama is the perfect place to get your salsa on! With live music, vibrant band, this is the ideal hotspot for a late-night escape! A trip to Panama is incomplete without a night of dancing ’til dawn!
3. Relic Bar
Another cool bar in Casco Viejo district. Different from Tantalo’s open-space rooftop vibe, Relic Bar has a tucked-away, cave-like atmosphere. A true hidden gem of a local find, the crowd and music make your night out a bit more funky and modern.
4. Altabar VIP
Calle Uruguay is a lively district filled with upbeat nightlife hotspots. Altabar is one of them, actually one of the best in the area. It’s a two-story complex that includes: a dance floor, privately-reserved VIP tables and an outdoor deck. If you’re looking for a good mix of club and lounge, Altabar is a great choice.
Also located in the Calle Uruguay area, right next door to Altabar is Manrey Hotel, which is a modern and sleek establishment. On the top floor, Cielo Pool Bar is for those yearning for a sophisticated night out. We try to stay away from hotel bars as we typically only recommend local gems, but Cielo is for the true jetsetters who want a chic setting as backdrop to hopping music and a mix of travelers and worldly locals.
