The world is going digital, the travel industry is typically the first to break new grounds. The latest advancement can be seen on luggage digital tags that will veer us away from lost and found.
Imagine, the printed luggage tags that you get after checking in your bags will now come with a microchip, allowing the process of tracking luggage easier and more efficient. According to Delta, these microchips can transmit locations in real-time which you can also track on your phone. So you will always know where your luggage is at all times.
In addition to Delta, Alaska Airlines and United have both been working on a similar tracking technology that makes checking in our luggage at airports worry-free.
